Raised in Paris and based in New York, Kyra Alessandrini is a French/American journalist. She primarily works as a writer and reporter on topics ranging from culture to fashion and mental health. Her work can be read in publications such as Essence, Time, The Hollywood Reporter, Insider, InStyle, Byrdie, Elle, and RFI. From interviewing celebrities for cover stories to reporting daily news, she explores all aspects of journalism through her work. Being an independent journalist has led her to gain experience across a wide variety of beats, and trained her to adapt her voice to any publication. Before becoming a full-time journalist, she was a graduate student at Columbia Journalism School and a humanities student at both La Sorbonne (France) and UCL (UK). During her down time, she enjoys street photography, traveling and daily life in Brooklyn, New York.
